    In ‘What Lies Beneath’
    How could Harrison Ford’s wife
    Not be the killer?

I had the good fortune to watch the three ‘Indiana Jones’ films on three successive nights last week, and was a little shocked to find how pathetic the middle one was. Does anyone want to take on its forensic examination?
I also note that with the passing of time Harrison Ford is now almost exactly the right age to do an ‘Indiana Jones meets Austin Powers’ crossover, and think it sounds like the sort of project that would be right up George ‘The Great Betrayer’ Lucas’ alley…

I’ll certainly take you up on that one! I have already made notes on it, and done an FF on the third one, and own the set. As soon as I’m finished with “Snakes on a Plane” I’ll have at it.

shellshear: Haven’t you done this Nanowrimo schtick enough times by now? Get with the film forensicking, already!

winston: If he doesn’t do it, I’m afraid you’ll have to stop peering in people’s garages and do the long-awaited “Interpreter”! Our Nic has been *too long* not appearing in any flesh-eating-zombies-loose-at-the-U.N. films.

Hello to you too! Interesting that there aren’t any full length films called “Test” or “The Test”. I can picture exactly what kind of film it’d be, too: a post-apocalyptic wilderness survival mind game between mentor/shaman and student, with a background of ruthless mercenaries/pirates/gangs threatening the safety of a cobbled-together community of peaceful farmers.

Well, I’ve updated the site back to its normal look & feel, at least! I’ll be back to work on FFs soon, really - just got lots of personal things going on at the moment…

Good to see this site up and about again! I feared you’d become an occupant of your own morgue! :)

I’ve finally seen ‘Casino Royale’ and am happy to have a go at it from the ‘Geography Pedant’ perspective, if anyone thinks that might be amusing…

  9. winston Says:

    geography pedant perspective?

According to Herodotus, Leonidas’ wife’s name was ‘Gorgo’. This didn’t seem to be mentioned in the movie ‘300′. I can only attribute this to sexism.

F’rinstance, winstoninabox, the capital of Madagascar is not on the coast, so there shouldn’t be any embassies in cities in Madagascar next to the ocean.
And the words on the screen show Bond disembarking in Nassau, which is on New Providence, but from the map in his car in the next scene the hotel he is going to is on Grand Bahama. Sure, the filmakers could just have shown him disembarking in Nassau in order to board a commuter flight to another island, but why?
And surely anywhere in Montenegro would have both Latin and Cyrillic signage, not just Latin? (I am happy to be corrected by any of FF’s legion of Montenegrin readers if I have this wrong.)

Where is ‘The Intrepreter’ as a zombie flick again, already? I’m waiting.
